It is most useful for retesting purposes - after treatment for a previous diagnosed infection. Results take up to 4 working days as the tests are carried out using special PCR (DNA) tecnology. You can view your results in the standard way, through our website using your unique password.

Option 1 - Mycoplasma Genitalium

This is a common cause of urethritis in men. In women it is often found , if their partner is infected. It appears likely that it is responsible for some cases of cervicitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease in women. 

Option 2 - Trichomonas Vaginalis

This parasitic infection,is a common cause of discharge in women. It can afect the urethra (men and women) and vagina and bladder. It is usually sexually transmitted.

Women
Can cause an offensive discharge-thin,yellow/green,foul smelling and often with urinary symptoms

Men
Can cause discharge and a burning pain or irritation on passing urine.

Option 3 - Bacteral Vaginosis

This is a common bacteria, which is not considered to be a sexually transmitted infection. It can lead to a fishy vaginal discharge.  It is also associated with a higher incidence of pre term delivery.  It is the commonest bacterial cause of discharge.

Option 4 - Ureaplasma Urealyticum

This bacteria is a common cause of urethritis.  We can test using a PCR urine sample and have results within 4 days.
