FAQ-STD Test Express
(1) How will I recieve my postal kit?
We will post your kit immediately by next day delivery if we receive your order before 4.30 pm Mon-Fri. Your postal kit will arrive in a plain envelope without any identifying features to indicate STD Test Express. It will be labelled "private and confidential".
(2) Is the service confidential?
The service is 100 % confidential. STD Test express will not share any data with any third party. You are provided with a secure online password for obtaining your results online. Your payment will appear on your card statement as "express services".
(3) What do I do with the kit?
There will be clear instructions provided with the std testing kit. You will be asked to complete your details on the lab request form and provide a urine sample for testing. You should use the first urine passed in the morning or aletrnatively wait at least two hours before giving the sample. The urine sample should be placed inside the protective covering and returned along with the laboratory request form in the pre paid envelope provided.
(4) When will my results be ready?
For chlamydia, gonorrhoea or chlamydia/gonorrhoea combination tests, results will be available after 24 working hours of receipt of the sample. To access your results, simply click on the results section of the website. To ensure security, you will need to enter your surname and password before results will be released. Your password will be provided at registration. Alternatively, you can have the results texted to your mobile phone. Simply write your mobile number on the request form and tick the box giving your authorisation for this.
For all other tests including the full sexual screen, results take 4 working days from receipt of the sample. Again, you will be able to access these from the results section of the website. We will email you to inform you when your results are ready.
(5) What shall I do if I test positive?
If you test positive, simply ring our helpline on tel-0207 935 6260 and our administrators will arrange for a telephone consultation with a doctor from our partner clinic CityDoc and they will prescribe and post your free antibiotic or ant-viral treatment if appropriate.
(6) What if I don't receive my kit ?
Call our helpline on 0207 935 6260 and we will send out another postal kit for next day delivery.
